Congolese Side Courting Kenyan Midfielder

Congolese giants Daring Club Motema Pembe have shown interest in signing Kenya and Gor Mahia midfielder Kenneth Muguna.

Congolese giants Daring Club Motema Pembe have shown interest in signing Kenya and Gor Mahia midfielder Kenneth Muguna.

The Kinshasa-based outfit, who are so far experiencing a run of bad results, are said to have identified the talented youngster, who would shore up the centre of the pitch in the second half of the campaign.

Indeed, Isaac Ngata’s has struggled in recent matches, losing three out of four, though they currently sit in the third position in Linafoot League table after 15 rounds of matches.

The 23-year-old, formerly of KF Tirana in the Albania top-flight league, fits the bill of someone, who is an enforcer at the centre of the midfielder.

“He is considered a young player with lots of potential. A player, who is very good in tackles, can dictate play and score goals,” a source privy to the ongoing negotiations exclusively told Ducor Sports.

Muguna, who has scored four times and created six other goals in nine starts for Gor Mahia in Kenyan Premier League this season, is said to be excited by the possibility of playing in the Congolese league.

In fact, the midfield recently wrote a letter to K’Ogalo management through Ango Elite Soccer agency asking to be released because he has not been paid salary for four months.

Motema Pembe have targeted to reach the Group stage of the 2019/2020 CAF Confederation Cup and Muguna’s acquisition will definitely add more depth in the Immaculates midfield in their continental assignment.
