Club Africain Want FIFA Rescind the Decision to Deduct Them Six Points

Club Africain of the Tunisian premier league have applied to be given back the six points deducted from them by FIFA.

Club Africain of the Tunisian premier league have applied to be given back the six points deducted from them by FIFA.

The World football governing body recently subtracted six points –three each in the last two months – from the former league holders for failing to pay wages of former players.

This followed after ex-players, now plying their trade elsewhere, mostly in Europe, sued the club to the Switzerland-based institution complaining that they be paid their earnings.

Mattthew Rusike of Zimbabwe had been one of the complainants with his complaint coinciding with a time the club is battling cash issues.

Fans contributions, the Tunisian FA’s mobilisation of funds in the form of donations and the latest sponsorship deal have somewhat aided Africain to pay off debts.

FIFA is yet to rule on this latest trajectory.
