Ghana and Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu believes under looked group d opponents Uganda Cranes will be a threat in the coming African Cup of Nations.
Speaking to Starr Sports about Ghana’s group opponents, Atsu said,
“Uganda Cranes are not an underdog any more. They have played against all those teams in the group but we are not scared of them. They have a very good defensive set up which could worry us.
“They have a very good team both offensively and defensively”.

The Uganda Cranes have only lost two competitive games at home in the last ten years despite facing some of Africa’s finest.
In the last six games, Uganda has managed to hold Ghana to three draws, a win and only two losses. They will next face the former African Champions on January 17th in the AFCON before visiting them in Kampala on October 2nd to conclude the World Cup Qualifiers.
Despite being in the renowned group of Death and mostly depending on home based players, Uganda will be a team to watch in the coming African Cup of Nations.
