Chad Hit Camp Ahead of Gambia Qualifier

Chad national team Les Sao, are in camp preparing for their upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations preliminary round match against The Gambia.

The 30 local based players reported in the team’s camp on Friday morning with their foreign counterparts set to join camp this weekend.

According to the normalization committee running the Chad Football Federation (FTFA), all the players was screened for COVID-19 in line with the protocols sanctioned by the Ministry of Sports.

Chad national team head coach Mahamat Allamine Abakar commented on his first residential training session with the players ahead of the two-legged 2023 Africa Cup of Nations preliminary round match against Gambia.

“We have had a good session with the players and we will be working extensively to build a team that can beat Gambia and sail to the next round of the qualifiers,” said Abakar.

Les Sao play Gambia at  the Stade Omnisports Idriss Mahamat Ouya in N’Djamena on March 21, before travelling for away match on March 29, 2022.
