Cameroon FA President Eto’o Sacks Marketing Director Over Corruption

Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) president Samuel Eto’o today sacked the federation’s  head of marketing department Ngo Mbog Binyet Liliane, whose two-year term has been ridden by scandals.

Social media users woke up to the news of the sacking of the official, some tweeting ‘finally’, as the firing letter signed by Eto’o made rounds.

“Madame Ngo Mbog Biynet Liliane, previously Head of the Marketing at the Cameroonian Football Federation, is requested to present herself at the headquarters of FECAFOOT, within 72 hours, for the delivery of the keys and the contradictory inventory of the office she occupied within the institution,” the short statement signed by Fecafoot president Eto’o reads.

Liliane has been heading the marketing department docket since April 2020 after she was elevated to the position by former Fecafoot Seidou Njoya but her tenure has been ridden with major scandals over the years even as she held on the position.

This is the second time that Eto’o has cracked whip on a Fecafoot official after controversially sacking a security guard in December 2021.

The legendary footballer mission as the FA president is to instill discipline at all level of football in Cameroon.
