Cameroon 2021: Guinea Lose to Rwanda in Pre-Afcon Friendly

The Syli Nationale of Guinea lost 3-0 to Rwanda in a  pre-Afcon friendly played at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Monday afternoon.

The game served as a test to Guinea who are camping in Rwanda before traveling to Cameroon on Thursday.

Guinea new coach Kaba Diawara also used the match to assess his 27-man squad for the Cup of Nations.

In the game which had Issiagal Sylia, Sory Kaba, Aguibou Camara, Mohamed Bayo and Ousmane Cante all having a feel, Guinea could not take advantage of the opportunities that came their way as Rwanda secured victory courtesy of Muhadjir Hakizimana, Dany Usengimana and Fred Muhozi.

Goalkeeper Ibrahima Kone who started the game in post for the Syli Nationale was faultless in the  three goals conceded.

Diawara who now have a fair idea of his team is expected to field a strong starting XI for the team’s opening game against Malawi on January 11.

The Guinea delegation will depart from Kigali on Thursday morning, for Bafoousam– venue of their Group B attrition against Malawi, Senegal and Zimbabwe.
