Calisto Pasuwa: Nyasa Big Bullets Boss Signs Contract Extension Until 2025

Nyasa Big Bullets head coach Calisto Pasuwa has agreed a three-year contract extension committing him to the club until 2025.

Pasuwa, who joined the Big Bullets in 2018, has been rewarded for guiding the club to three Malawi Super League titles.

Bullets’ Chief Executive Officer Suzgo Nyirenda confirmed on Thursday the decision to keep Pasuwa for the next three seasons.

“It is a testament to the qualities of the man that Kalisto Pasuwa’s passion and intelligent approach are now woven into the type of football we are playing as a club.

On his part Pasuwa said: “I am very happy to extend my contract with Nyasa Big Bullets. Working with a team like Bullets has been very exciting especially this season where we have a new project and I wanted to see these youngsters becoming better and play senior football with maturity and with this extension, we hope everything will go well with the technical team I am having and we hope for the best for this year.”

Pasuwa has build quite an impressive profile for himself since guiding former side Dynamos to two league titles and then taking the Warriors to their first Africa Cup of Nations finals appearance in more than a decade.

His exploits have previously attracted the attention of the Malawi Football Association leadership, who wanted him to take over as their country’s national team coach, but negotiations between the two parties failed to end in a deal.
