The decision comes weeks before the Tunisian U-23s’ game against Sudan billed for March.

The void dug-out job has now been filled, with Ferid Ben Belgacem named as the new man on the managerial seat.

Plans to replace Khatoui have been in the offing for long, according to sources, before the decision was effected today.

Reports monitored in Tunis have it that Skander Kasri was the FA’s first-choice but domestic premier league club US Tataouine refusal to let go of their coach, prompted a change of plans.
