Borrusia Dortmund: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Will not be Sold to Bayern

Borrusia Dortmund General Manager Hans-Joachim Watzke has dismissed all claims that the club will let their lightening quick striker join their Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

Watzke insists the side will not allow the Gabonese striker to follow the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Mario Gotze and Mats Hummels who all swapped Signal Iduna Park for the Allianz Arena.

[perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]“I think he will stay with us. But if Real Madrid or Barcelona come with a big offer, then we have to discuss it.”[/perfectpullquote]

Watzke told Sport1

“We will not sell him to the Bavarians.”

The manager whose future is also under question made these comments after Dortmund’s 4-1 Klassiker loss to Bayern on Saturday.

Aubameyang has so far hit an impressive 25 Bundesliga goals this season despite missing most of January while at the African Cup of Nations.

His 32 goals and five assists in all competitions this season have not gone unnoticed with most European and Chinese super League teams rubber-stamping him a top transfer priority.

With Borrusia Dortmund sitting fourth on the table with no hopes of ending Bayern’s dominance soon, this might be the perfect time for the 27-year-old to move to one of Europe’s more elite clubs to compete for medals.
