The 21-year-old is considered one for the future and the La Liga champions have shipped him out to Nice where they believe he is cut out to rise through the ranks.

The current deal ends June this year and in the event of any improvement, the French Ligue1 club have the option of buying him out.

Barca have also installed a clause in the defender’s contract in which he could be recalled to the Camp Nou or in case he is cashed in on, they’re entitled to a portion in any future sale.

Wague courted the eyes Barcelona after his impressive showing during the previous World Cup in Senegal’s versus Colombia tie.
