Asante Kotoko to Meet French Officials Over Sogne Yacouba

Asante Kotoko officials are set to meet with representatives of French Ligue 2 side RC Lens who are interested in signing striker Sogne Yacouba.

A source close to the player confirmed to Ducor Sports of the meeting stating that they will be listening to the offer on the table before making a decision on the player.

“Kotoko will be meeting with the representatives from France on Friday as they seek to listen to their offer on Yacouba who has impressed them. The Porcupines policy is never to deny any player an opportunity to go abroad as long as the laid down procedures are followed,” the source disclosed.

RC Lens are reported ready to make $3 million offer to the Kumasi-based club over Yacouba’s acquisition.

It is also believed the Blood and Gold will offer the striker an improved salary, which could see him take $ 300,000 a month.

The 27-year-old is expected to leave the Porcupine Warriors if both clubs reach an agreement in the meeting.

The deft left-footed forward who has been in great form has been in the radar of several European teams following his impressive displays.

The Burkinabe international helped the Kumasi based club reach the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in eleven years.

Yacouba joined Asante Kotoko on a three-year deal as a free player after parting ways with Stade Malien.
