AS Vita Club have touched down in Morocco ahead of their clash with Raja Casablanca this weekend.

AS Vita Club have touched down in Morocco ahead of their clash with Raja Casablanca this weekend.

The Black Dolphins players face one of the biggest games of their careers when they take on the Moroccan giants at Stade Mohammed V on Sunday afternoon, with the two sides doing battle in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final.

The Congolese delegation, composed of 33 people including 21 players, was received by a number of representatives from the Congolese Embassy as well as representatives from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.

Coach Florent Ibenge joined the team later from Brazzaville just after managing the national team, The Leopards, to a 1-1 draw against Congo Republic’s Red Devils on Sunday in the qualifying round of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

AS Vita booked a place in the finals a month ago after beating Al Masry of Egypt 4-0. In the reverse fixture, the team had played to a goalless draw.

It will not be the first time the Black Dolphins will be meeting Raja Casablanca in this year’s competition. They were in the same Group A of the group stage where the two teams played to a 0-0 draw in Casablanca. Vita Club won the return leg 2-0 in Kinshasa.

The second leg will be played on Sunday, December 2nd, at the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa.
