Nigerian striker Alex Orotamal is among seven players released by Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League side Dynamos.

The Glamour Boys, who finished third last season, released over half a dozen players as they prepare for the new Castle Premier Soccer League season in February.

Orotamal spent one season at the Harare-based side and was involved n some of the most iconic and important moments in the club’s modern history.

As Dynamos announced their retained and released the list on Monday, another noticeable departure was Ghanaian defender Sylvester Appiah.

Other players released by the club include Partson Jaure, Godknows Murwira, Albert Eonde Ralph Kawondera, and  Keith Murera

Orotamal had joined Dynamos following the expiry of his contract at Rwanda Football League side AS Kigali.

The 29-year-old attacker had previously for Bandari and AFC Leopards in the Kenyan Premier League, Saint George in Ethiopia as well as Al Bashaer in Oman.

The then-Dynamos coach Tonderai  Ndiraya had expressed his confidence in Orotamal but the signing failed to deliver much-needed silverware.

Dynamos recently announced the appointment of Herbert Marowa, who replaced Ndiraya in the overhaul of the technical team as per New Zimbabwe.

Marowa is expected to bring some new faces to DeMbare with Gareth Madhake among players being earmarked by the Harare giants.
