Al Ahly’s Walter Bwalya Terminates Contract with Yeni Malatyaspor

Al Ahly striker Walter Bwalya has terminated his loan contract at Turkish Super Lig side Yeni Malatyaspor, according to reports.

Bwalya has ended his one-year-loan deal with the club after he reported them to FIFA for allegedly not paying his wages.

The 26-year old joined Malatyaspor in September 2021 after failing to convince Al Ahly’s head coach Pitso Mosimane.

Bwalya has been linked with a return to Egyptian Premier League where he played for El-Gouna before joining Al Ahly in January last year.

The striker is still in Ankara and is hoping to return to Egypt as soon as possible.

The Democratic Republic of Congo international made only nine substitute appearances and failed to make any direct assist.

He made his last appearance for Malatyaspor on 12 December before sustaining an injury which has kept him out of training for the last three weeks.

At Ahly, Bwalya found the back of the net only three times, with his first league goal coming in July 2021 against Entag El-Harby.
