Agadir Hoping to Pile Pressure on Moroccan League leaders Wydad

Second-placed Hassania are aiming at giving current Moroccan Premier League leaders Wydad Casablanca a tough ride by cutting down the points between them.

Second-placed Hassania are aiming at giving current Moroccan Premier League leaders Wydad Casablanca a tough ride by cutting down the points between them.

The capital outfit headline the log by five points –a gap which will be trimmed to two if the two-time title holders Hassania breeze past bottom-placed Chabab Reif Hoceima today evening.

Wydad yesterday humbled Kawkab Marrakhech 3-1 at home to strengthen their lead at the top as they hope to reclaim the Moroccan league top prize after giving it up to Ittihad Tanger last season.

Under Tunisian gaffer Fouaz Benzarti, they look headed for that goal but must ward off rivalry from Hassania who happen to be their closest pursuers with a massive seven-point difference between them and third-placed Youssoufia Berrechid.

Other fixtures on Sunday wrapped up with Mogrheb Tetouan drawing goalless with FAR Rabat, Rapide Oued Zem beating RSB Berkane 2-1 and FUS Rabat succumbing 2-0 to Ittihad Tanger.
