Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia have completed the signing of Andrew Malisero from South African side Africa Warriors on a free transfer.

Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia have completed the signing of Andrew Malisero from South African side Africa Warriors on a free transfer.

The attacking midfielder has signed a three-year-deal with an option of a further 12 months and becomes the club’s third foreigner to join the KPL champions this summer.

Ugandan forward Tito Okello and Cameroonian Bertrand Konfor are other foreign talent at K’Ogalo who will be with the club next season.

“Andrew Malisero becomes the first Malawian to play for Gor Mahia after penning a three-year deal,” Gor Mahia announced on Thursday.

“Andrew can play both as an attacking midfielder and striker and will provide much needed attacking options to the team.”

In an interview with a section of Malawian press, Malisero expressed his gratitude for being signed by the Kenyan giants.

“I am very delighted to sign for the Kenyan giants. I have been here for quite some time and I am finally happy to have finally signed for this club,” he said.

The 17-year old is expected to play a very big role for his new side in the Kenyan Premier League and African Champions League qualifiers in October.

Among notable players who have joined record Kenyan Premier League champions include Benson Omalla, midfielder Sydney Ochieng, goalkeepers Levis Opiyo and Samuel Njau and Andrew Juma.
