Coach Carteron Extends Stay At Zamalek

Egyptian giants Zamalek announced on Saturday that they have extended the stay of coach Patrice Carteron for another season.

Carteron, who took over the White Knights in December 2019 after joining from Raja Casablanca, won  African Super Cup and Egyptian Super Cup titles this season.

“Carteron agreed to extend his contract with Zamalek,” the club chairman Mortada Mansour said in a statement.

“The French coach will sign a one-year contract extension after agreeing with the management and they are currently drafting the terms.

“The Zamalek coach agreed on the fees and everything is going well.”

Carteron’s previous contract would have expired at the end of this season.

Since his arrival in December, Carteron has led Zamalek in 20 games, winning twelve, drawing six, and losing just two games.

Zamalek are currently fourth in the Egyptian Premier League this season with 31 points after 16 games played.
