Ugandan Keeper Delighted With A Move To Sofapaka

From Bright Stars, Ugandan goalkeeper Nicholas Sebwato is delighted with his move to Kenyan Premier League side Sofapaka on a two-year deal.

The experienced goal minder completed a move to the Batoto Ba Mungu last week, taking the spot of fellow shot-stopper Ismail Watenga, who has since been released.

Speaking to Ducor Sports, the former Onduparaka gloveman said that signing for Sofapaka was a chance that he could not waste.

Sebwato left Onduparaka last season in an effort to better his career at Bright Stars, however, this did not work out as planned as he played second fiddle to Godwin Kiwanuka.

Though he now faces even sterner competition at Batoto Ba Mungu, the custodian is up to the challenge, as he also backs goalkeeper coach George Wambugu to get the best out of him.

Sofapaka resumed training on Friday last week and are now set to meet Kariobangi Sharks in a Kenyan Premier League match on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Machakos Stadium.
