Yacine Brahimi on Arsenal’s Radar

According to A Bola (h/t Lucas Sposito of Sport Witness), Arsenal had a scout in attendance during Porto’s match with Feirense to keep an eye on the long-term transfer target Yacine Brahimi.

One would wonder why Arsenal would be interested in a winger when they have a lot of options in the wide areas this season; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alex Iwobi, and Theo Walcott. It is believed that with Sanchez now playing in a centre-forward position, the Algerian would be the perfect replacement on the wings – he has quick feet and the pace to excel in that position.

The Algerian has a 51 million Pounds release clause in his contract and whereas it would be a miracle for the Gunners to part with that kind of money, it would be a great buy. Brahimi since his recall has scored three goals in three games.
