
Hashim Amla became the second South African batsman to score a century in his 100th Test during the third game Versus Sri Lanka in Johannesburg today.
During the course of his century, Amla became the 8th player to score 100 in their 100th Test and second after former captain Graeme Smith.
He shared a record 292-run stand with JP Duminy who slammed his sixth Test century. The partnership guided the Proteas to 338/3 at Day one stumps of the third Test against Sri Lanka.
South Africa currently lead the three-Test series 2-0 against Sri Lanka and are aiming for a whitewash.
