Singer Zari Hassan has ceased to be a chief panellist for Miss Uganda Management following her recent on-stage tantrum.
Also dubbed The Boss Lady, Zari, 38, was fired by CEO Brenda Nanyonjo of Miss Uganda Foundation in the wake of a terrible clash with Kyarimpa Anita commonly known as Fabiola, a Television celebrity during the final Miss Uganda pageant.
On that night of the fight, Oliver Nakakande was crowned as Miss Uganda.
It all started when the MC of the night Fabiola referred to Zari as ‘Mama’ something that she (Zari) didn’t take lightly.
In retaliation, Zari commanded Anita Fabiola to open the envelope (it had the names) for her to read the winner of Miss Uganda 2019.
In the public eye, it was one of the unnecessary spat that the Boss Lady and TV socialite got involved in.
Zari Hassan was so infuriated by the word mama, throwing a major tantrum in front of the guests who included Miss World Vanessa Ponce and the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga.
Now, after the two years of service, the Boss Lady has been taken off the panel of judges of which she has always been the chief judge.
Nanyonjo, in her press statement to the media on Monday said, “We have learnt that the Miss Uganda Management was not comfortable with Zari’s action, and we have decided to take her off the panel of judges.”
