Recently, the Uganda Media Centre Deputy Executive Director, Col Shaban Bantariza disclosed Uganda’s bid to host the 2021 ICASA edition of the conference.
In December 2021, Uganda is set to host the 21st International Conference on AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) in Africa(ICASA).
This year, the 20th ICASA Conference will take place in Rwanda Africa under the theme “AIDs Free-Africa-Innovation, Community and political leadership.
The conference will aim at strengthening partnerships among governments, civil society and development partners and renew the commitment to achieve an AIDS-free Africa.
This conference will be an opportunity to also renew the global commitment to end the AIDS scourge in Africa by turning the world’s attention to this threat.
This year’s ICASA is still an opportunity for the international community and all Africans to join efforts in the commitment to achieving an AIDS-free Africa.
And according to this year’s Conference advisory, between 6500 and 10,000 world’s leading scientists, activists, persons living with HIV and government leaders are willing to take part in the conference which will take place from 2nd to 7th December, at the Kigali Conference Centre in Rwanda.
