Eddy Kenzo has thrown in the towel on reuniting with his newly married ex Rema Namakula instead telling her to give a deaf ear to stories about them.
The duo were once inseparable lovebirds but parted ways, with the female socialite moving on to marry Dr. Hamza Sebunya.
The love affair between Rema and Kenzo –both singers from Uganda – has had tongues wagging for long in the East African nation’s showbiz.
However, all that seems to have been buried following Rema’s decision to wed Sebunya in a low-key wedding.
Reports suggested that Eddy, the Big Talent Entertainment sensation, has a grudge over his ex-girlfriend’s ceremony.
Against expectations, Kenzo made a comment on the development and shocked most by complimenting the union and urging his ex-beau to ignore what was being said about them.
In an extraordinary touching post, the Sitya Loss artiste said: “My friend Rema, I dearly congratulate you upon reaching this special day as God had planned it for you and pray that you enjoy it greatly.
“I also pray that you close your ears to the negativity that surrounds us and always know for a fact that I am your true friend who wishes you well.
'Banji won't like this 'kubanga bagala ntalo naye nze nzikiririza mu mirembe', (meaning 'many won't like this because they want to see a conflict between me and you, but I have surrendered'). United we stand, divided we fall.
“Congratulations to you and your husband, and please enjoy because it is God who prepared this special day. Alhamdulilha Asalam Aleikum," Eddy Kenzo shared on his Facebook page.
