Victor Moses Scores as Chelsea Sail Past Champions Leicester

Super Eagles winger Victor Moses scored his second Premier League goal of the season to put the game to bed as Chelsea dominated the defending champions Leicester 3-0 at the Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea opened the scoring in the 7th minute from a corner after Nemanja Matic flicked the ball to an open Diego Costa who hit a close range ball past Leicester’s Kasper Schmeichel.

Chelsea nearly doubled the lead in the 28th minute but David Luiz’s long range free kick hit the bar. Just four minutes later, Eden Hazard rounded off the keeper to double the lead from the edge of the 18-yard box.

The foxes came back stronger in the second half with Ahmed Musa having two chances on goal but the Chelsea defense rose up to the task. Musa also fired wide from a free kick before failing to beat the keeper a minute later.

Chelsea got back into the game with Moses scoring the third after a quick successive “one two” play with Nathaniel Chelobah. Moses was then replaced with England youth Ola Aina also of Nigeria decent in the 82nd minute.

Moses who missed Nigeria’s clash against Zambia recovering from an injury looks he’s back to full fitness and will be part of Nigeria’s next Qualifier against Algeria.
