Konyaspor gave former Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Chelsea, forward Samuel Eto’o, a legendary welcome Inspired by the popular HBO television series Game of Thrones.
The 36-year-old terminated his contract with Antalyaspor to join their rivals on a two-and-a-half year deal. Eto’o joined Antalyaspor in 2015 and loved their city but the stint turned Sour after a racism row that was quickly silenced by the club in October 2016.
The former Cameroonian captain then turned down offers from Spain’s Celta Vigo to join their rivals but left on very good terms. Cerebrating the occasion, the three-time Champions League winner was welcomed to the Konya Buyuksehir Stadium in the most deserving and coolest way possible.
The four-time-African player of the year was celebrated with the name and title as is in the fictional drama series; Daenerys Targaryen, the mother of Dragons.
In addition, during his stay, Eto’o will be known as;
“Samuel Stormborn of House Eto’o, the First of his Name, the Unburnt, King of Forwards, Breaker of Chains, Father of Eagles”.
