Rayon Sport Striker Set for K’Ogalo Switch

Burundi international Hussein ‘Tchabalala’ Shaban will reportedly leave Rayon Sports to join Gor Mahia, although both camps are claiming to have no knowledge of the supposed move.

The 25-year-old who has so far scored six goals for the Rwanda’s Azam Premier League champions, is touted as perfect replacement of Ivorian forward, Ephrem Guikan who could be heading out the exit door in the upcoming June transfer window period.

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr meanwhile is known to be looking to add more firepower up front, and according to a ‘well-placed source’ Tchabalala could be his man.

[perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]“The negotiations have been ongoing. It’s not yet clear what will happen in the next few days, but what has become evident is that the player won’t be playing for Rayon next season,”[/perfectpullquote]

the unnamed source said.

Gor and Rayon officials have claimed to know nothing of the supposed move.

If he does sign, Tchabalala could potentially form an all-Central African attack with Rwandese, Jacques Tuyisenge.

Tchabalala joined Rayon in January this year on a six month contract from Amagaju FC where he scored 13 goals last season.

If K’Ogalo have a problem with Rayon announcing Tchabalala as their player before the end of the month, the Kenyan Premier League outfit is more likely to announce the deal when the transfer window officially opens on June 2nd.
