Algeria’s Islam Slimani Scores Brace on Leicester Debut

Leicester City’s new signing Islam Slimani has opened his premier League goal scoring account with a brace at Burnley today.

Slimani opened scoring in the 45th minute finishing off a Christian Fuch’s assit before turning in another from Jamie Vardy just three minutes later.

Slimani who joined Leicester for a club record of £29.8 million made his first league start with a memorable performance that saw the champions ease past the Clarets.

Talking to the press after the game, team-mate Drinkwater told the reporters how the Algerian will fit in well,

Drinkwater went on to say,

“He fits in really well because he’s a hard worker and also has ability.

He has trained really well and he helps set up the way we play – he’s a really good addition to the squad.”

Country-mate Riyad Mahrez was also phenomenon on the right flank and had a direct impact in all the three goal. His shot was deflected by defender ben Mee into the net to put the game out of reach for Burnely.
